It’s been an awful couple of weeks here in the UK and I feel like it’s time to spread a bit of positivity and share some love. Many years ago I used to host these things called ‘link-ups’ and I thought it would be a good idea to start them up again. Just in case you don’t know, a link-up is a place for bloggers to share their work. All you have to do is click the little button at the bottom of this post and add links to the blog posts you would like us to read. I’m thinking about making this a regular thing, so please let me know if it’s something that would be beneficial to you. Alongside this, I’ll also be taking the time to show you guys some of the bloggers I’ve been loving recently too. To get started I’m focusing on 5 blog posts that have been inspiring me this week….

Firstly I wanted to share an incredibly inspirational blog post by Jordan Bone. I’ve been following Jordan for quite some time now, maybe a few years? It’s hard to tell as time goes by so fast. Anyway, during the time I’ve been reading her blog she’s always been a total inspiration to me. Recently one post in particular caught my eye and it’s called ‘Staying True to Yourself’. It’s all about the pressures of feeling like we have to look, act or be a certain way. Personally this is something I’m all too aware of and I refuse to conform. I like what I like and it really is as simple as that! In life it’s much easier just to be yourself, after all, we are who we are. As Jordan says in this post, it’s going to be a pretty miserable life if we try to keep up appearances all the time. This post is really inspirational, so if you’re someone that needs a bit of positivity or motivation in your life then I would go and have a read.

Talking of staying true to yourself, let’s move on to a post by Steph from Priceless Life of Mine. This is another blogger that I’ve been following for a while. Recently she published a post called ‘When my Virtual Blogger Friend Became my Real Friend’. This is a really heart-warming story about how she finally met Heather from Suncream and Sparkles. Steph comes across as such a genuine person online, so I’m not surprised that these ladies and their husbands all got on like a house on fire. What was even more inspirational about this post was the discovery that Heather is about to emigrate to Spain. As many of you might know this is something that I’m hoping to do myself. Obviously I hit the follow buttons straight away!

The next blog post I want to share is ‘Blush Pink & White Distressed Denim’ by Jalissa from The Style Contour. Jalissa is a fashion blogger who focuses on ‘style contouring’ which is a unique and innovative concept that she’s come up with herself. The idea is that you can enhance your natural figure if your clothes are strategically placed. Every blog post she writes inspires me, but in particular this one has really caught my eye. I’m obsessed with all things blush pink so I guess you can probably see why. The other thing is, Jalissa is a yummy mummy about to be. All I can say is if I ever get pregnant and look half as good as her I’ll be a very happy girl indeed!

When it comes to looking good, it helps if you feel great on the inside. Personally, I think the best way to totally transform your face is to make sure you smile. But that’s easier said than done, and not everyone can be super smiley and happy every day. For people who suffer from low moods or negative thinking it’s probably the last thing on their mind. ‘My Five Tips to Help Low Mood’ by the lovely Amy J Walters confronts this topic head on. I really loved reading this post as it took me back to a time when I wasn’t feeling so great myself. It made me remember not to take happiness for granted because it wasn’t always that way. This post is a brilliant read for anyone that is feeling a little bit down or if their mood is really low. Amy is a fellow sufferer of anxiety (just like myself) and seems to have come a really long way. She’s a true inspiration, so I highly recommend giving her blog a read.

The final blog post and a special mention goes to ‘Blog Posts I’m Currently Reading & Loving’ by Sincerely Reine. Reine was suffering badly from bloggers block. She couldn’t think of anything to write about and had to take a break from blogging whilst reading lots of other blogs. In the end she decided to share a list of work published on other sites. Reine reminded me of the link-up style posts that I used to write. She inspired me to go back to sharing the links of other blogs and highlighting the posts I really love. So that’s exactly what I decided to do and how I ended up writing this post today!
So I guess the moral of the story is, never give up being you, because you’re fabulous just the way you are. Always remember that a goal without a plan is just a dream. So reach out and do whatever you need to do. That might be meeting that friend you’ve made online or something bigger such as emigrating to Spain.
If you feel like you look good on the outside it can give you the confidence to conquer the world. But all this means nothing if you don’t feel great within. Everyone struggles with low moods from time to time, and that really is okay. But if it’s starting to get you down then take any steps you can to look after your mind. Inspiration is everywhere, so don’t forget to look for it from the people you know. Most importantly, don’t forget to share the inspiration you find. You never know what difference this could make to someone’s day.
Thanks for reading and thank you to all the lovely bloggers that agreed to be featured in this post!
