I’m not gonna lie, I get a little bit excited when I talk about St Tropez as a brand. I’ve been using their products for years, not just on myself, but on clients too. It has to be said that I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve tried. I’m a massive fan of the Self Tan Luxe Facial Oil and the Instant Tan Wash Off Face and Body Lotion, but my all time favourite is their mousse….

I love both the Self Tan Express and the Bronzing Mousse, which I’ve been using for well over 10 years now. Both are really easy to apply, have a fab texture and I like the fact the mousse absorbs into my skin quickly, but not so fast that I can’t get an even finish. The products are both brown in colour, which means it’s easy to see where they’ve been applied. If there are any areas that are going to go patchy or too dark, the coloured mousse exposes them, enabling me to prevent it before the tan develops. My own personal example is that I have quite dry patches on my knees, so I often notice they look a bit dark after application. I apply moisturiser to these areas, and straight away they will start to lighten and become perfectly even in colour.
The end result is a gorgeous, natural looking tan that lasts for ages. On myself it usually looks perfect for about 5-7 days and lasts for around 2 weeks altogether before it’s totally gone. If I exfoliate every 2-3 days and reapply then it never goes. Sometimes I choose to use the Mousse, and others Self Tan Express. I have no preference over either. The only difference is that St Tropez Self Tan Express was designed to be their fastest acting tan, therefore you can get results as quick as in an hour. Before they created the express version I often used the mousse to give myself a quick tan though. If I applied it for a couple of hours it made quite a difference. Their products are incredibly versatile actually, and as I said previously I love them all!
The only one I haven’t tried yet is the Gradual Tan in Shower Lotion. St Tropez have just teamed up with Marie Curie on this product, and from 1st June 2016 – 31st May 2017 25p of every product sold is going to the charity. I can’t think of a better time to show my support so I may have to invest in one of these soon.
What do you think of St Tropez? Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned today?
