Goodness me, it’s been six months since I last wrote about my current favourites! (You can check out that post here). I can’t believe it. I honestly didn’t realise I’d left it that long. Some of you might remember that way back in September I decided to make this a series. Rather than categorising them into monthly, yearly, seasonal or whatever, the idea was that I would post when I see fit. From now on I’ll be aiming to publish these a bit more often! Anyway, here’s what I’m loving at the mo….

Benefit Hand Mirror

The first thing is this hand mirror that Benefit kindly gave me. I was using a miserable looking black one that came from my salon, then I broke it. My new mirror couldn’t have come along at a better time. I use it every single day. It looks so pretty and I love how the writing on the back is in coral. That’s my favourite colour you know. The other thing is, it’s always nice to have something different and I haven’t come across anyone with the same one yet. There must be somebody out there that has it too? Sticking with the theme of Benefit Cosmetics another product I’ve been loving recently is Galifornia. This newly released golden coral blusher is proving so popular that it’s sold out on the site! I’ve written a more in-depth review with lots of pics and swatches here so be sure to go and check it out. I made sure I listed all the different places to purchase with prices etc. It is still available on some websites with many different offers and free delivery in some cases too.

MAC Coral Bliss Lipstick | Link

Another coral coloured item I’m obsessed with at the moment is the Coral Bliss Lipstick by MAC. This lip product is from the Cremesheen range and has a frosted, pearly texture that makes lips shine. I would say the colour payoff is pretty good and I find it really moisturising too. This lipstick really suits my skin tone and I have a feeling it’s going be my go-to shade for this spring/summer.

Garnier BB Eye Cream | Light | Link

Moving on to the eyes, I’ve recently discovered a really good eye cream by Garnier.  It’s the BB Cream 5-in-1 Eye Roll-On in Light. I’ve been using it for about a month or so now and it has to be said considering the price this is really good. Basically it’s an eye cream and concealer all rolled into one. It has this roller-ball that disperses the product whilst massaging under and around your eyes at the same time. I think it’s a really clever and innovative product which has quickly become part of my everyday makeup and skincare routine. I shall continue to monitor it and will let you all know how I get on!

Maybelline Dark Blond Master Shape Brow Pencil | Link

Talking of eye makeup, another fab product I’ve recently found is the Master Shape Brow Pencil by Maybelline. This product is amazing and I can’t believe I haven’t discovered it before. Dark Blond is my perfect shade and it seems to work well regardless of whether my brows are tinted or not. One end is a pencil which I use to fill. Then I give my brows a quick brush with the groomer that’s featured on the other end and they’re good to go. This stuff seems to last all day and all night. And, if you’re a bit naughty and leave your makeup on? Yep, it’s still there the next day! (Not that I have ever done that of course!).

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil | Sable | Link

When it comes to products that stay on all day there’s another firm staple in my current makeup routine – this Kohl pencil by Rimmel. I have it in the shade sable which is a fairly dark warm-toned brown. I think brown eye-liners suit my colouring much better than black which can look a little crazy on my super pale skin. This pencil in particular is nice and soft and easy to blend. Sometimes I create an eyeliner that’s rather bold. Other times I smudge it out so it looks really subtle. It’s a soft kohl that’s versatile like that and I love how I can wear it either way.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara | Very Black | Link

Now, to contradict what I’ve just written above, I’ve become obsessed with this very black mascara by Maybelline. Up until recently I’ve not only been wearing brown eye-liner, but brown mascara too. My all time favourite was Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I was convinced I had found ‘the one’. Then Maybelline threw a spanner in the works. They sent me their newly released Luscious Mascara in Very Black. I left it in my box of products to try for a really long time, mainly because it was black not brown. Then one day I put it on. That was a game changer for me.

This mascara is seriously good. The brown one has literally been tossed to the side! I don’t know what it is with the luscious version, whether it’s the brush, the formula or both. But I apply one coat and my lashes look massive. I keep thinking it’s the best I’ve ever tried. The other thing is, when I wear it people comment on my lashes, without being prompted as well. Now I’m all confused. Should I wear brown or black? Maybe I need to invest in a brown version of this and see if it gives similar results too?

What products are you loving at the mo?

Is there anything you think I should try?

    Doused In Pink

    • Ah yes, well worth a try. It’s super cheap too. X

  • Wonderful photo! I also like benefit and MAC

  • I have the old packaging of the garnier concealer and I love it, I tend to wear it in the summer because it is very light weight. I love benefit products they are my top 3 high-end, they make my favourite highlighter ( WATTS UP and now recently Sunbeam ) That brow pencil I may have to go check out because I like a affordable brow pencil, right now I’m using Annabelle skinny brow retractable pencil.

    • I’ve never heard of the Annabelle Skinny Brow Retractable Pencil. Is is good? X

      • yeah I love them you may have to order it if your not in Canada. It’s a great brand you can find it in your local walmart/shoppers, if your interested. I love it because the tip of it is so little that you can draw each hair on your brows very nicely. The spooly on the end is made out of plastic and looks like a little comb, so you can wipe it with a makeup cloth if your looking at killing bacteria.

        • It sounds really good. I’m in the UK but will keep an eye out. Thanks again. : )

  • That mirror is adorable! I’ve heard such great things about that blush, I need to check it out and swatch it myself, it’s gorgeous and perfect for spring and summer, as is that MAC lip color! Thanks for sharing your faves with us, girlie, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!
