Yay! Finally, I can tell you guys the secret I’ve been hiding – I’m pregnant! We’re so incredibly happy and feel very blessed. It seems like ages since Ollie and I found out and I’ve been wanting to let the world know ever since….

The past few months have been a real rollercoaster of emotions and it feels a little surreal writing this. Not because the pregnancy wasn’t planned but it was a shock. We didn’t expect it to happen in the way it did, especially after previous pregnancies that didn’t work out and the night I realised was really strange. I had a dream that I needed to take a pregnancy test so I woke up and tested using one of my internet cheapies. I couldn’t believe my eyes when a second line came up straight away. It turns out that I was already 4 weeks gone.
Fast forward to now and I’m excited to write that we’re about half way through. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride to say the least but the Early Pregnancy and Maternity Units have been beyond amazing. Not to mention my maternity counsellor and midwife who have both been a wealth of support.
So now that I’m well into my second trimester, you might be wondering how it was in my first? Well, it was pretty awful if I’m to tell the truth! Hence barely any posts from me for 3/4 months. I had terrible nausea which made me feel ill all day and night. Ironically it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever experienced but still pretty debilitating to say the least.
I spent most of the first three months hiding in my pj’s in the house, desperate not to give the game away! I was tired, struggling to eat and if I’m honest the last thing I wanted to do was sit down and write. Now I’m in the second trimester I feel great and I’m definitely ready to get back to work. With that in mind I think it’s time to embrace this pregnancy so I’ve decided to add an extra tab to the top of this blog!
