What would you say if I told you I was one of the young people that The Princes Trust had helped to transform their life? I can’t imagine what you’re thinking as it’s something that even I struggle to get my head around. But it’s true and I owe The Princes Trust. I owe them big time. So many people take basic human needs for granted because it’s all they know and were brought up with. It’s difficult for them to comprehend that not everyone is naturally born into that position. Sometimes people with mental health issues grow up and those people have children. In that situation those children are often missing many basic needs. Getting through every day can be a struggle and the last thing they grow up with is self-confidence.

Of course this is just a snippet of my story and that’s where The Prince’s Trust come in. They gave me the financial and emotional support to set up my beauty salon which I ran for 10 years. The only reason I gave it up was to go to uni to study Business and Marketing and as you all know I’m now blogging full time. I believe that my path to happiness and success all started with the support and confidence that The Princes Trust (and Ollie) gave me. Without them I honestly don’t know where I would be today. So thank you to The Princes Trust!

Anyway when L’Oréal and The Prince’s Trust e-mailed me about their newly launched ‘All Worth It’ campaign I knew I had to write a little piece on here….

The L’Oreal and The Prince’s Trust ‘All Worth It’ programme is a new collaboration that will take place over 3 years. The aim is to help 10,0000 young people by transforming their ‘self-doubt into self-worth’. The campaign features 15 ambassadors including Dame Helen Mirren, Cheryl, Neelam Gill, Chez Rust, Kaushal, Jada Sezer, Marcus Butler, Amena Khan, Katie Piper, Emily Canham, Gary Thompson, Louisa Johnson, AJ Odudu and the two I’m most excited about – Victoria and Jordan. Only because I read their blogs, ha ha. But seriously, this campaign is full of bloggers – go team internet! I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see my favourite bloggers collaborate with The Prince’s Trust and L’Oreal to support such a good cause and one so, so close to home!

L’Oreal are all about diversity and inclusivity no matter who you are or where you’re from. That’s why confidence training programmes are going to be rolled out across the UK in all Prince’s Trust Centres. The point being that everyone is worth it. There’s some really good videos over on the L’Oreal and Prince’s Trust websites that explain what the campaign is all about in more detail. If you’re interested you can check them out here and here. Personally, I loved watching the individual videos by the ambassadors as their stories are really inspirational.

When it comes to self-doubt I think everyone has a story to tell, regardless of their background. I still see so many people I know really struggle and this is something that breaks my heart all the time. With that in mind I’m so grateful to the L’Oreal, The Princes Trust and their ambassadors for sending out this really powerful message right now.

What do you think? Has self-doubt ever affected you?
