Morgan Taylor | The Cinderella Collection | Review

To celebrate the release of the new Cinderella movie, Morgan Taylor have paired up with Disney and created a Cinderella-inspired nail polish collection. This innovative palette showcases six dazzling shades that are fit for any wannabe Disney princess! As this is a brand that I’ve never tried before, I can’t think of a better way to be introduced, than in a true Disney style. But here’s the thing – I’m a fussy little monkey when it comes to nail polish, and I’ve set the bar pretty high. Nail lacquers have to tick a lot of boxes if they want a regular place in my collection! So what did I really think of these Morgan Taylor nail polishes?

Well, firstly the packaging – it’s great, with chunky 15 ml bottles that are similar to OPI. I actually prefer them because they look slicker, and more modern. They’re the perfect shape for rolling side to side in my hands, which is how I mix up the lacquer when I’m about to paint my nails. In terms of application – the brushes are lovely and thick, meaning I can apply the perfect amount of product, in 3-4 strokes, with no areas missed.

When it comes to the product itself, I feel like I would probably need to try more from the brand to get a proper idea of how good they are. Party at the Palace is a light green colour with tiny little bits of glitter, giving the most gorgeous shimmery finish. This polish needed three layers to become truly opaque, whereas the other one only needed two. These lacquers dry so quickly that this isn’t a problem. Best Ball Gown Ever is my favourite, and is a lilac/blue colour with a subtle hint of shimmer. I love how the enamel seems to change, depending on what light it’s in. Sometimes the look is kinda lavender.

Overall, I’m chuffed to bits with both polishes, which are long lasting and really are the most gorgeous colours. In fact, the whole collection looks really pretty. Other shades include ‘If the Slipper Fits’‘Watch Your Step Sister’‘My Carriage Awaits’and ‘Ella of a Girl’Morgan Taylor nail polishes can be purchased from Sally Express here for £10.99 each.
