I’ve finally managed to pack my hospital bag so I thought I would write an easy to copy and paste list. Just in case any of you guys need this kind of info too. Please note: It’s based on the assumption that I’ll only be staying in for one day!….

Maternity notes including birth plan

Phone charger

Juice cube & charger

Camera charger

Car park / vending machine change

Notebook & pen (to write feeding & nappy change times down etc).

20 maternity pads (10 Maternity Pads – link & 10 Tena Lady Extra – link).

(I’ve heard that Boots are the best however I’ve tried and tested the Tena ones a lot and they are amazing so I’m taking both!).

Nursing pads (Lansinoh Nursing Pads – link or Tommee Tippee Nursing Pads – link).

(I accidentally bought both and don’t know which are the best!).

Paracetamol / Ibuprofen for after the birth

Clothes for in hospital:

2 Maternity nightdresses (Navy Nursing Chemise – link).

(Totally not my style but I need something to give birth in that won’t make me hot! These are perfect as I’ll be available for checks, blood stains won’t show and they are cheap enough to throw away after if I wish. I’ve bought two so that I can wear a clean one after having a shower).

Maternity PJ bottoms (Grey Maternity Pyjama Trousers – link).

(I love these so much. They’re super comfy and perfect teamed up with the nursing vests linked below).

2 Maternity nursing vests (Maternity Grey Nursing Cami – link).

(I bought a few cami tops and went for a size 12 to make sure they fit around the chest!).

6 Pairs of massive pants (4 Pack Full Briefs – link).

(I never wear knickers like this, however I’ve bought lots to wear after I’ve given birth. and These are 3-4 sizes bigger than I usually am to accommodate the maternity pads that I’m going to have to wear. Comfort is key!).

Dressing gown (Grey Fuzzy Dressing Gown – link).

Slipper socks (Not purchased yet).

Slippers (Grey Loungewear Slippers – link).

Flip flops (Black Rocket Dog Sandals – link).

(I’ve been advised by many people to take a pair of flip flops to wear in the shower at the hospital. Apparently they can be a bit grim. That said, I was there the other day and the room we were in was immaculate. Still, I’m not going to take any chances!).

Get Ollie to download a contractions app.

Put everything in clear bags with labels. This will make it easier for Ollie or the midwives to find.

Let me know if you’re pregnant and currently packing your hospital bag too!
